Andrew Stricker, Ph.D.
Andrew Stricker serves as a distributed learning architect for The Air University by helping to design, develop, and implement advanced and emerging learning technology innovations into U.S. Air Force educational and professional military education programs. Previously, Dr. Stricker served Vanderbilt University as associate provost for innovation through technology. He has also served 28 years as an Air Force officer and scientist specializing in learning sciences and human-factors engineering. Dr. Stricker studied at Texas A&M University and Yale University. His research is focused on modeling adaptive expertise and the design of learning technologies.

This session reflects on how to foster shared leadership opportunities for group work in online learning environments through the study of how the leadership role was shared between virtual team members in an online game. Highlights from the study feature the game environment that was designed by Air University’s Innovations and Integrations Division, the research methods, instruments and a summary of the findings that may assist educators in their online course development.
