Risa Blair, Ed.D.
Dr. Blair has more than 19 years of teaching experience in online learning, higher education, preparatory education, as well as training. She specializes in curriculum development, online learning, technical training, assessment, student success and retention. Wanting to utilize her skills in a corporate setting, Dr. Blair brings her experience and expertise to her role of Training Advisor for FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean Division, where she is responsible for curriculum development and designing online training as well as researching and optimizing the use of technology to produce results. She has also been teaching online with Kaplan University since 2006. She especially enjoys challenging students and transforming students to lifelong learners. She specializes in utilizing technology and tools to make connections between concepts and real life application.

Are we going to engage or disengage our students? The choice is ours. It is certainly not the short attention span of our students or their lack of focus! We are expecting today’s students to learn based on yesterday’s educational strategies. Students want to learn using new strategies and technology! This is not going to be solved by bringing new ‘lesson plans’ into our curriculum, it is much more than that.
