Teresa Marie Kelly, MAT
A long-time educator, Teresa Marie Kelly (TK) has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts Teaching Secondary English from Agnes Scott College. She has been teaching online since 1999. She began adjuncting at Kaplan in 2002 and jointed the University full-time in 2003. In addition to her work with developmental students and emerging writers, TK has a passion for using technology in education – what she fondly calls her “inner tech geek.” Her areas of expertise include simple but effective technology tools for educators, using technology to improve writing, the value of social networks as teaching and learning spaces, and the importance of turning students and educators into life-long, multidimensional learners. She presents around the country to encourage educators to embrace technology rather than fear it and to leverage it for their own personal and professional growth. A life-long resident the Georgia Coast, TK commutes over four rescue dogs, then spends most days with a coffee in one hand and some type of computer – laptop, tablet, or smart phone in the other.
