Tod C. Aeby
Tod Aeby (pronounced like Dear Abby) grew up in a small town in the mountains of northern New Mexico. He got his undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry at the University of New Mexico, before attending the UNM School of Medicine. His residency in obstetrics and gynecology was at the University of Hawaii. He is currently on the faculty of the John A. Burns School of Medicine were he serves as the Generalist Division Director in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health.
Dr. Aeby’s passion is undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education and this semester he is completing a master’s degree in Educational Technology at the University of Hawaii, Manoa.

- Use of Synchronous, On-line Focus Groups as a Needs Assessment Tool
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists will hold an educational conference in September of 2013. This action research project used synchronous on-line focus groups, as a tool for needs assessment in preparation for the conference. Participant’s comfort with accessing and using the technology was evaluated and the effectiveness of the focus group process was assessed.
