It Does Not Have to Be a Headache! Professional Distance Education Content Delivery In a Nutshell
Recorded: Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 @ 11:00 am - 11:40 am HST
Duration: 40 mins
The UNC School of Government (SOG) provides training and continuing education to local and state public officials in North Carolina. One way that the SOG is able to fulfill its mission is through its distance education offerings, which include webinars and e-learning modules. The Instructional Support team within the SOG Information Technology Division is responsible for this service and has offered it more than 100 times. The NC State Contract for web conferencing is for Adobe Connect Pro. We are using this resource to host and deliver all of our distance education content. At the School of Government, we offer both asynchronous e-learning modules and synchronous webinars – often to hundreds of users at a time. During the presentation, members of the Instructional Support team will share their experiences with developing content in collaboration with faculty. We will share how we orchestrate a high quality user experience comprising sound, design, interactivity and support. We will present lessons learned and best practices for using the Adobe Connect Pro system for distance education content delivery. As a part of the presentation, attendees will see how the Instructional Support team uses simple techniques to successfully deliver hundreds of webinars and e-learning modules to diverse target groups. We will discuss how attendees can implement these suggestions at their own institutions – using Adobe Connect or similar web conferencing solutions.
This presentation was held in Adobe Connect.
